Samsung Electronics officially launched the new Galaxy S26 series and the new Galaxy Buds4 in Mexico during an event at Inspace Polanco, which brought together executives, media, and business partners. A new technological era began with a futuristic light show and a 3D screen presentation demonstrating how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the mobile experience. HS Jo, CEO and President for Latin America; Thomas Yun, President of Samsung Mexico; Karen Goldberg, CMO; and René Castillo, VP of the Mobile division in Mexico, highlighted the company's commitment to bringing high-level technology to the Mexican market at one of the most dynamic moments for the industry in Latin America. Thomas Yun noted that the goal is not just to launch products, but to create experiences that connect with people and enrich their daily lives. As Karen Goldberg emphasized, this new generation of devices represents a turning point. "It's the first 100% AI device. It can suggest you make that call you always make at the same time, or facilitate tasks without the need for multiple commands," she stated. In terms of innovation, the Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out with its screen featuring a Privacy mode, a pixel-level technology that allows content to be seen only from the front, ideal for public spaces like transportation. This is joined by significant video improvements with Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock, capable of maintaining stability even with extreme movements or 360-degree turns, and advancements in Nightography, now also for video, with better lighting and less noise in low-light conditions. The company's strategy is centered on three main pillars: creativity with tools like Photo Assist and generative editing; communication with functions like Live Translate and an interpreter in more languages; and productivity with a more powerful processor and an optimized cooling system. After the presentation, attendees could experience these innovations firsthand through interactive stations powered by Galaxy AI, including a metro car-inspired installation to test the privacy screen and zones for testing video stability, night photography, and features like Call Assist and Photo Assist. The new Galaxy Buds4 also evolve in audio. "We call it The Easiest AI Phone because all the complexity takes a backseat and the user is left with simplicity," company representatives explained. They feature enhanced Hi-Fi sound, a more elegant design with a metal stem, and a new horizontal charging method. Their most interesting feature is AI integration, allowing head gesture controls (like accepting or rejecting calls) and voice commands. They also include tools like real-time translation and Call Assist, an assistant that can answer calls for you, identify the reason, and send you a summary so you can decide how to proceed.
